Lisa's journey started far away from home when she had finally left her comfort-zone and traveled other countries. The adventures and magical encounters experienced on those travels opened her eyes to new possibilities. She turned away from the academic path she was about to pursue back in Germany and instead went on the road again.
She tried "new things": massage techniques and yoga were amongst them.
Having always been a very tactile person she felt more and more drawn to body work. As a teenager she used to fill her spare time with dancing and could find a similar joy and freedom of expression in especially yoga again. Instead of music her breath would now show her the rhythm to move to… It took her a few more years though to realize that she wanted to make those new discovered interests an actual "profession". Another attempt to go a "more conventional path" back in Germany had to be made until she ended up in Aotearoa. After spending more than a year working and traveling in this beautiful country she met her partner. She was about to leave to Europe when he asked her to stay. And that's what she did.
Here in New Zealand she finally followed what was quietly sitting in her heart for a while and she intensified her education in movement therapies. Very grateful for the many skillful teachers met and lessons learnt so far she is looking forward to discover much more. In the meantime she likes to share already gained knowledge and skills through her treatments and classes.
Apart from her interests in yoga and massage Lisa loves exploring Northland's beautiful forests, lakes and beaches, enjoys spending quality time with her husband, laughing with her friends and cuddling her cute cat Gaia. She likes traveling, especially to the other side of the world where she can visit her beloved family and, as well, she finds pleasure in hanging upside down in a circus aerial silk…
